For load, both DB2 and Teradata, the bottleneck is often the client or network rather than the database. Be sure you are comparing like-for- like.

For DB2 load, is the compressed file on a database node already (eliminating network time)?

Are the CPU and I/O characteristics of the server running TPT comparable to those running the DB2 load?
