Hi, That's very possible. Did you try the "Start Teradata" menu item ? When the TD for Windows is installed, the Teradata service is installed as 'manual', i.e. you have to start it. When you start the TD Service Control program (which is NOT the TD service itself), it checks teh status of TD/PDE. If the TD service is not running, then the status is "PDE DOWN/HARDSTOP".
