Basically I agree. But when I am thinking of 3rd party tools (regardless if ETL, Front End or anything else) which are accessing the Data
Dictionary even with the same user, I will definitely have a less responsive access time compared to accessing a 'regular' database. I was talking
to some Teradata Consultants which confirmed that Teradata is handling this kind of access with a quite low priority. Well I can not say if this
has to be set or has been set by the DBA or if this is set by default but I've experienced that many times in the past.
