You can see your clusters in vprocmanager... Your system most likely has 2 AMP clusters...

The goal of a cluster backup is to break a large table into pieces so that it can be dumped faster via multiple, concurrent jobs. I don't know what the auto job generation capabilities of the version of netvault you are running is, but it will probably do the splitting and job generation for you when you check the cluster option...

'Optimal' for your system (if it's 4 tape drives, 2 AMP clusters, 54 AMPs (27 clusters)) would be 4 jobs, 3 of which each dump 7 clusters and one that dumps 6...
