1. If you don't want to recollect the stats then, just export ONLY statistics from TSET before renaming current to old and import it after renaming new to current.

2. Write a tool to query DBC tables and generate collect stats script, run this tool before renaming current to old and run the generated script after renaming new to current. But yes this will re-collect the stats.
