Can we take this discussion in a slightly different direction? The issues seem to be around and about creating, archiving and, presumably, eventually restoring or copying a very large number of users. While DBC, ARCMAIN and re-creation scripts and all the other points were good ones, I question the 750K users. I may have missed this in the email streams, but there doesn't seem to be any questioning of the users, their need or their actual worth. While it can be a bit of a security issue for some, we have had a lot of success in creating a user that several individuals use. It is important to manage a 'group id' carefully and make sure it is not abused; however, these costs often outweigh the costs involved in maintaining thousands of users. Thanks, -mb
