The default is the number of AMP in your system. In a larger Teradata configuration we typically control the number of sessions to be used.
Many sessions cause extra overhead to CLI/MTDP as well as Gateway/PE. In client side each sessions also consume significant amount of memory. In
your case depending on the size of your input data you may want to limit the number of sessions. For example, if you have 200 AMPs and loading
just 200 to 500 records there is no meaning leaving number of sessions to default(200 sessions). 5 to 10 sessions will do your job.
