What we have is basically a xxxPdata database(division specific Production data), and then we would have a view database xxxPdataview, where we
contain all of the views for Pdata. The users only get access to the xxxPdataview and only admin type id's get access to the base tables. We
also carry an xxxPpayroll database, that contains secure information, with an xxxPsecureview database that contains all the views that are in
xxxPdataview as well as all the views for secure information. Only certain users have access to the secureviews database. This appears to make
it easier for us as we grant the select to users to the view databases only. Hope this helps. (We are at both V2R4.1.3 & V2R5.0.1)
