Bill,

The production system is a duel node (two SMP nodes) NCR WorldMark 4850 system with a single NCR 6000 Enterprise Storage external disk array system containing eighty(80) - 36 Gigabyte hard disks for a total raw disk of 2.8 Terabytes (Tb). The system is hosting a Teradata RDBMS providing approximately 1.4 Tb of total usable disk space.

Node - Each SMP node has 4 Intel 700Mhz Pentium III Xeon processors and 4 gb of memory. Internal disk storage is four 9.1 gb disk drives per node, RAID1. The disks are used for the operating system and Unix file system. They are mirrored to provide continued availability should a disk fail.

The system is configured with 10 vprocs and 2 pe's per node (20 amps / 4 PE total)

We are running V2R4.1.2 of Teradata

The majority of our data loads are processed via Informatica on an ETL server (IBM RS6000 -AIX box) and MultiLoad. We do not have a fastload license for AIX since Informatica does not support that utility anymore. Some minor ETL uses BTEQ scripts.

We are a UNIX shop, primarily.

I hope this answers your questions...
