Adam,

On the NT side you can secure your parameter file with stringent acl properties.

Unfortunately, on the network transport side (tcp/ip "traffic") your TD user id and password are sent as plain text on the very first message between the client and the mainframe. Very very insecure. I have heard that TD is planning to have this fixed in some future release.
