Subj:   Re: Migration to v2r4.1

From:   Dennis Calkins

Hi,

Thanks for the comments. I will take these issues and see what I can find out.

I am aware of the PMON SQL problem and the fact it is fixed in 4.1.0.22, but given you comments about 4.1.0.22, I guess that is of little comfort.

I know of many instances where the new 4.1 PMON SQL feature has worked and helped the customer and/or the GSC pin point the offending query and fix whatever problem they were having.

But again the fact that it didn't work for you is the issue and I agree that is the issue at hand.

I have no excuses for this or any ERRORs in the code, but I will guarentee we will fix them as we find them.

My goal is that we find all of them before the code is released to the customer and I will do everything in my power to achieve that goal.

However Customers are smarter than we are and use our products in ways that we never imagined (most of them won't tell us how they use it either because they consider it a trade secret) and it takes the code into uncharted territory.

I still say 4.1 is the best release we have ever had.
