Hi Forum,

So far I was under impression that the below statement only copies stats (stage image from tab2 to tab_new).

Does it also refreshes the stats on Tab_new?? With the same syntax???

When tested with sample rows, the image is copied (incorrect unique values are shown). Don't we need to refresh stats again on Tab_new to get the correct estimates?

Tab2: Stats: -- 6 Billion rows
6billion unique values.
And few other stats.

Tab_new:

Only 10K sample rows inserted.
Collect stats on tab_new from tabl2 ;

But, stats ?and unique values are shown exactly as per the above table. Whereas, my data is only 10K rows.
