Hi, (Disclaimer - most of my programming is with CLIv2 and not ODBC but this may still help). I've had a fair amount of success with CLIv2 programs by using 'two response buffers = Yes' (I think default is 'No'), this essentially gets the CLIv2 s/w to request the next buffer of data from the dbms whilst the application is processing the existing buffer. From looking at the ODBC docs it looks like the 'enablereadahead' option is the equivalent option. It also says that this option is set to 'Yes' by default - but it may be worth checking that is what is being used. Cheers, Dave Ward Analytics Ltd - Information in motion (www.ward-analytics.com)
