The problem probably is not in the script, but in understanding what do you actually want to do.

2GB .csv file, about 32 bytes per row means over 60 million rows with dates in source table. For sure you have a lot of doubles - do you really want to export all of them ???

Maybe it is enough to export from query 'select date_key,month_name from sandeep.empdata group by 1,2'.

You should also check the skew factor of empdata table.
