Hi David, My thought: I did not check if Teradata job scheduler can do this functionality. Your procedure may run for short, medium, long hours :). So what I think is run a unix script continuous for some hours you need, using "wait" and sniff the arrival of a file Redirected from a query maybe in a particular directory. Once the file arrives, then start processing. Have one control table, that logs the status of completion (R,C etc) So that next time when the queue comes, it checks this control table. If the proc is still running, don't start The process of landing sniffer file. Once the stored proc is completed, then check the arrival of the sniffer file Again.
