Subj:   Error : 3704: "0A"X not a valid Teradata SQL

From:   Bakthavachalam, Roopalini

Hi Forum,

When I run the below query in Teradata SQL Assistant(V 13.11), I get the error : "Error : 3704: "0A"X not a valid Teradata SQL token". Is there a way around this? Could this be due to my ODBC driver or something? When I try this from bteq, the query keeps running endlessly.

   SELECT
      DBASE.DATABASENAME (NAMED DATABASENAME),
      DBASE.CREATORNAME (NAMED CREATORNAME),
      DBASE.OWNERNAME (NAMED OWNERNAME),
      DBASE.ACCOUNTNAME (NAMED ACCOUNTNAME),
      DBASE.PROTECTIONTYPE, DBASE.JOURNALFLAG,
      DBASE.PERMSPACE(FORMAT 'ZZZ,ZZZ,ZZZ,ZZZ,ZZ9'),
      DBASE.SPOOLSPACE(FORMAT 'ZZZ,ZZZ,ZZZ,ZZZ,ZZ9'),
      DBASE.TEMPSPACE(FORMAT 'ZZZ,ZZZ,ZZZ,ZZZ,ZZ9'),
      DBASE.COMMENTSTRING, DBASE.CREATETIMESTAMP,
      DB2.DATABASENAME (NAMED LASTALTERNAME),
      DBASE.LASTALTERTIMESTAMP,
      DBASE.ROWTYPE (NAMED DBKIND),
      DBASE.ACCESSCOUNT,
      DBASE.LASTACCESSTIMESTAMP
   FROM DBC.DBASE
   LEFT OUTER JOIN DBC.DBASE DB2
     ON DBC.DBASE.LASTALTERUID = DB2.DATABASEID WHERE DBASE.DATABASEID IN
        ( SELECT * FROM VIEW_3OR
          UNION ALL
          SELECT DBASE.DATABASEID
             FROM DBASE, ACCESSRIGHTS, ROLES
             WHERE ROLES.ROLEID = ACCESSRIGHTS.USERID
             AND ROLE IS NOT NULL

Thanks

Roopalini
