Hi,

VARCHAR compression is available in TD13.10.

See Ruth Fenwick's post (below) about the DBS Control setting that needs changing prior to using this feature.

"You will not automatically get VARCHAR compression with TD13.10. There is a DBSControl flag that must be set to enable VARCHAR compression and block level compression. It is general 65, NO13dot0BackDown must be set to TRUE. This does not require a restart, but as the name implies, you can not back down to TD13.0 once that flag is set, so don't set it if there is any chance of a backdown, and it is unlikely CS will set it as part of your upgrade."
