Hi, The 'sessions' specified in FX are only used to transfer the result set back to the client. Essentially what happens is: - the select gets run on a single session (just as if you ran it using SQLA or BTEQ) and the answer set is built in a spool file - the spool file is then split into data blocks - the data blocks are transferred to the client using multiple sessions It is this data transfer portion where FX gets it's speed compared to BTEQ (and most other export utilities).
