I'd like to know if there is a process in place of knowing if an index was used and how many times , for situations involving a join condition,
where clause ?as against redistribution ( if it's a PI ) or ifs it's a Non PI ? who many times it was used in joins or in where clauses.
Another related? curiosity ? column indexstatistics is in an internal, Teradata privy, format and cannot normally be made sense of, unless you
use VComp or TSET, best of my K. Any idea how this is done. It comes out as a .dat file using SQLA. So I am thinking, you should not need to
connect to a host, when using these.
