You may want to contact you Teradata system administrator as the configurations can differ. With the advent of 64-bit OS and quad-core hardware (5550H+), the number of supported AMPS per node jumps significantly. 32-bit MPRAS would typically support 10 amps per node while 5550H hardware running 64-bit SLES can host 25+ amps/node.

Probably when the PDF file was first introduced, there was only 73GB and 146GB drives available. But now 300GB, 450GB, and 1TB drives are available which will drastically alter the TB's/node.

You will also need to know what kind of PE's and how they are setup as they may be setup for channel attachment (mainframe connectivity). There will be channel nodes (nodes with PE's defined for ESCON/FICON connectivity but with no amps) with physically defined PE's and you will most assuredly have virtual PE's defined as well.
