Hi,

I am wondering if anyone can advise on a way to set a default user within ODBC based on the UserID logged in under Windows. I know that you can manually set this up when configuring the data source, but since we have the ODBC driver delivered to our workstations as a package and we cannot write to our C: drives, we cannot actually modify the default from blank. To get around this we have to manually create a user DSN, but this is frowned upon by our IT department.

I would have thought the ODBC.ini file could be used for this, but cannot see any reference to a username within the file.
