The monitor object does not use the tables in DBCMNGR - or any other tables.

It uses the PM/API to talk directly to Teradata, or the Teradata Manager service if you are using Client mode.

Teradata Manager 12 does include a new version of the object (TDMon6.dll V6.0) but it also includes the older TDMon5.dll that you would have been using with TD6.2.

If you want to use the new functionality (Query Bands) you will need to change your app to point to the new object, but otherwise it should work as before.
