Sridhar,

There are limitations with the native load utilities on Teradata for handling CLOBs. BTEQ can import them but are limited to roughly 64K. MultiLoad and FastLoad will not allow them. From the reading I have done recently on the archives at teradataforum.com your other options are CLI and JDBC programming. I am investigating if other tools would help work around the limitations of the native load utils.

There is an orange book available from Teradata @Your Service from 2003 on the subject. I am surprised there isn't anything more current given burgeoning trend for unstructured data analytics.
