Both the Teradata Manager service and the Alert Server portion of it write out logs as they run. Take a look at the logs to see if there are
any errors being generated. (The log should also show the Alert server being started up if that has happened.)
I don't have the TMgr user guide handy but that should tell you where the logs are located if you don't already know.
Did you verify that the service is enabled for alerting against that DBS? (The 'Administer, Teradata Manager' menu in Teradata Manager
client.)
I don't remember all the tabs on that dialog off-hand ... And my system has a mix of old/new apps at the moment that prevent me from launching
Teradata Manager to check it, so I cant tell you exactly which items to check. (That should also be in the user guide though.)
