Hi,
I completely agree with you, Michael, on your explanation below. The fact that the ranking is done before I run my Select on the View defeats
the purpose of having the ranking function within the view. In essence, I only want to return the rows that match the criteria I have set forth
in the WHERE clause of my Select statement on the View, and rank those rows accordingly.
I am fairly sure, based on my software's restrictions, that it is not possible for me to pull this information dynamically.
Again, to all of you who gave suggestions for this, I do appreciate it!
