Hi,

According to my little knowledge in TD, there is no disadvantage to the method your saying.

Note that: In teradata you have only the option of adding or deleting the partitions at the beginning or with the end partitions, so you should not insert any partitions at the future in between the existing partitions has we do in oracle.
