Hi, A little more information would be useful. Of your 45 minutes what is the split between the Acquisition and Application phases ? I'm guessing from the title of your post that the Application phase is the longest. What is the definition of the target table, specifically in terms of UPI vs. NUPI, any NUSI's ? How long are the input data rows ? How long are the target table rows ? What size Teradata system are you running on ? What release of Teradata and TTU are you using ? From a general perspective, NUSI's always cause MLOAD to slow down (although with current releases of the software it's not so noticeable). If the number of hits per data block on the target table are low then the MLOAD will be nearly as slow as standard SQL (e.g. using Bteq) Cheers, Dave Ward Analytics Ltd: Information in motion ( www.ward-analytics.com )
