Subj:   How to revoke abort session from pmon for developers

Hi guys,

Previously I had asked how to give pmon visibility to users. I figured that out with your help.

Now the problem is I tested a user to have pmon visibility but that user automatically has the abort session right as well.

I did the following.

I went to TD manager created a profile in which I gave launch pmon and assigned this user to the profile.

I also had to give select on dbcmngr to the user.

Now since the user had abort rights by default I did following to revoke it.

     Revoke abortsession from user;

Also as per someone's advice I did following.

     Revoke monitor from user;

     Grant monitor but not abortsession to user;

None of the above worked and the testuser still has the abort session from pmon. (though the same user is not able to abort session from TD Manager)

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.
