I'd love it if Teradata supported INSTEAD OF triggers, which let you issue updates through views w/o limits (for example, the table updated need not be included in the view). Michael is correct that for the most part it's hard to see what updates you'd actually want to perform on a view with aggregates, but it's nice to have the flexibility that INSTEAD OF triggers allow.
