Two items: 1) It is my understanding that restrictions on table updates thru views block views built from joins, derived data, or column functions (e.g. SUM, COUNT, CSUM) from performing the ins/upd/del action. Has anyone found a way around this? 2) Adding the WITH CHECK OPTION enforces constraints thru the WHERE clause (otherwise the WHERE clause is ignored.) I recall that the WITH CHECK OPTION clause was not working correctly. Is this true? Will employment of the WITH CHECK OPTION produce faulty updates? Thanks, Bill Gregg Teradata Team
