<-- Anonymously Posted: Thu, 29 Nov 2007 10:00 --> Hello everyone, I would like to know more about Teradata Dynamic Workload Manager (TDWM). I want to create a little job that would enable a TDWM rule to avoid doing it manually. So, my rule is already created. And I understood that to enable a rule, I must : UPDATE RuleDefs SET RuleOptions = RuleOptions + 1 WHERE RuleName = MyRule This operation is the same thing as doing the 'Save' function in the application window. Okay, now my rule is enabled but, Teradata won't consider it before I execute the 'Apply' function. The problem is : I have only found that TDWM does 6 SELECT request on a few tables... no update?? In the TDWM documentation, it says that : "DWM rules are loaded into the Dispatcher components of the Teradata database." Thus, I would like to know all the steps to "apply" the rules to the Teradata. Then, I'll be able to put it after my UPDATE. Thanks for any help!
