Subj: | | Dynamic assignment of node for logon |
|
From: | | Bernard, Vincent |
It is my understanding that a number of node entries in a single ODBC DSN (Teradata server info) will allow Teradata to "choose" which node a
user will log on to based on the load on each of the nodes at the time. This seems to be working well.
My question is, is there a way to get the same dynamic assignment when logging into Teradata from a Unix node? We seem to have to provide the
specific ip address or dns name in these instances and this rules out the ability for Teradata to make that "decision".
I would very much appreciate your comments.
