We recently upgraded to Teradata SQL Assistant 7.1 (and ODBC 3.05) as part of our move to v2r6 and we're noticing that the speed of inserts from that tool has dramatically decreased relative to the prior version we were using (6.2). Has anyone else experienced this?
We thought it might be caused by an ODBC setting or the way our packaging group deployed the software to the desktop. We still have both versions available and in side-by-side comparisons with the same DDL, there's a 10x slow-down with the new version.
We're pursuing this with NCR but please bounce back if you have any suggestions on a root cause.
