If a profile is assigned to a user AND that profile includes an account string then that account string will always be used.

The account defined on the user itself would only be used if you remove the profile from that user. (or remove the account string from the profile.)

If you did not specify an account when you created the user the account of its owner would have been used.

This is perfectly normal and does not need to be 'corrected'.
