Hi All,

Can anybody put some light to understand what is difference between Account Name and Account string in Teradata? In our system we are giving account string to Profiles and profiles are assigned to users. In account string we are defining priority (L, M, H, L1, M1 etc.). We can see this account string is getting used in DBC.QryLog, DBC.AmpUsage as well as in DBC.AcctG.

But when I query against DBC.Databases it's showing me different account string under field "AccountName". I can see same AccountName under "Account" field when I am doing Modify User in Teradata Administrator. These two things are little confusing, can anybody explain me what is difference between these two? And where system uses AccountName? Is Priority scheduler using AccountName or Account String from corresponding profile?
