Newer MP-RAS systems can have 4GB RAM vs the older 2 GB standard. I believe I remember some presentation stating that the 4 GB is not
necessary for increased TD performance. Does anyone know the advantage of the additional RAM? We are strictly a DSS system, so caching of
queries or results would not likely be affected. Is it useful for more data block retrieval? Memory allocation to hardware tasks? Read/write
queuing?
