Is there an option or an ODBC driver for Teradata that will preserve comments - either -- or /* */ form.

Example:

     Replace view cmt as
     Sel
     --This is a test of dashes.
     /* This is a test of slash-astricks.*/
     * from dbc.databases;

     show view cmt;

Results:

     Request Text
     Replace view cmt as
     Sel

        * from dbc.databases;
