Subj:   Re: NOLOGGING documentation

From:   Victor Sokovin

  I have heard that there is a NOLOGGING keyword (used in conjunction with CREATE TABLE and index creation. However, I am not able to track down any documentation as to whether it actually exists and how it is used. I guess my broader question would be to determine if there was a means to stop the logging of table inserts when I need to load large files to tables on Teradata.

You are probably referring to NOLOGGING in Oracle. To my knowledge, Teradata does not have such a keyword, so this is the reason it is not documented.

Similar concepts:

LOG / NO LOG option for temporary and volatile tables;

journaling.

Victor
