Re: [TDATA-L] Ascential Datastage and dbc.userrights The issue is that when you grant permissions to roles, then those permissions do not show up in dbc views except in dbc.userrolerights. To get all the rights that a user possesses, you must union those rights with the direct rights. It all depends on whether you are using server version or enterprise edition and which version of the database plugins you are using as to whether this check it actually performed, and if the check is performed correctly. On Enterprise Edition, 7.5.1, using the Teradata Enterprise Stage, it does the check, but it does not query the role permissions. This has been submitted to IBM with an explict explanation, but with no response so far. BC
