Few things ..

- What version you are on ?

- if you are using derived table like you said

     (
      select LOC_ID, LOCATION from LOCATION
     )  D(LOC_ID, Location)

Check Whether SpooledDerivedTable is SET to TRUE in DBS Control

- can you send the DDLs ?
