I'm still wondering why you need to know this. Can you explain a little more about your problem? I saw the earlier answer from Mike Dempsey (I
think), and I'm wondering whether that's your issue.
This is sort of idle curiosity on my part--I don't have any guidance for you on doing this, but if you'd come to me when I was a DBA and asked
me how to do this, my first question would have been "Why?" I found that solved a lot of problems--or maybe I should say it dissolved problems,
because it tended to make them disappear. The ones that were left then got my time.
