Eric,
Have you tried using V.11 yet? The folks I have talked to here at my site can successfully use V.9.5 to reverse engineer tables from Teradata,
but with V.11 for some odd reason it will only show the users and it defaults to user who signed in. In Teradata the user's id is very seldom the
database that is going to own the tables. Most of our tables here are owned by other databases. What we are trying to figure out and what I
can't seem to find on Sybase's website is how to do reverse engineering on Teradata where I can pick the databases where the tables exist. It
will let me reverse engineer the databases, but I can not get to a point where I can see the tables underneath those databases. In the owner drop
down list it will not show normal DB's so I can't pick them from there as the owners of the tables. I can pick every user including DBC and see
the objects that it owns directly but nothing else. Kinda makes it hard to reverse engineer something if you can't see it. If you have any
ideas, would be willing to hear them.
Thanks,
Bill Grenwelge
