Starting with V2R6.0, if users are already defined in a supported directory such as Active Directory or Sun Java System Directory Server, they can logon to the database without the need for the administrator to create an instance for every user in the dtatbase. Users defined in a supported directory automatically have PUBLIC rights and access to spool and temp space. Some setup may be necessary to align this functionality with your specific needs. Go to the info.ncr.com website and read Chapter 6 of the Security Administration manual for V2R6.
