In order to retrieve the BLOB, you will need an application to recontruct it back into an image. SQL Assistant will allow you to select the
BLOB but will not bring it back as an image. You will only see the data as a series of hex characters.
If the file is a word doc or something like that, you will still need an application that can read that particular filetype.
BLOBs are new to the Teradata world but you should be able to access the information like you would with an Oracle or SQL Server solution. The
BLOBs are stored in the database but you still need the application to reconstruct them into something useful.
