Yes. ODBC is (I dont know why) identifying this as informational. ODBC allows for 3 (normal) return codes.

     SUCCESS
     SUCCESS_WITH_INFO
     ERROR

In this case it returns SUCCESS_WITH_INFO instead of ERROR, so ODBC applications will not treat it as an error.

As you say, BTEQ identifies it as an error.
