I don't think the problem is with the parser or the calculation; you are attempting to return the result via ODBC, which provides no fixed point numeric types large enough to contain the full precision. Try the same queries in BTEQ or CAST the results to CHAR (or set the "Display full accuracy for Decimal(16) and above" option in Queryman) and you'll see.
