Hi:

In BTEQ, using the cast function, I use the following statement:

     SELECT  CAST(PAT_ENC_CSN_ID as char(18))

however the output 14011315669. puts period (hex 4B) at the end of the character string.

I have checked the TD manuals and tried the format function. What am I missing to drop this last character?

I would appreciate any suggestions.
