Correct, there's no year 0.

From Oracle manual:

"Julian day; the number of days since January 1, 4712 BC. Number specified with �J� must be integers."


Here's the problem:

Julian day starts one year earlier, at January 1, 4713 BC. So Oracle really introduced year 0:

          BC -> wrong
          AD -> correct
