Mike, This is a great question. With me being a SAS for windows user also. I am accustomed to using multiple windows to write and run queries. It is really nice with SAS as it is still only one session, the same session. Nice when using Volatile tables and the such. Nice also to have different instances of the same code open. SAS can only submit code from one window at a time, not a hardship. When needed we can open two or more instances of SQLA and run queries, it is different sessions, but is still very useful. My answer would be yes there would be a use for multiple query windows. Paul
