Dave, You know, that is a great question. I have been asking about this issue for over a year. One would assume, since Teradata is strongly pushing the use of both Triggers and Join Indexes, that Teradata would make an effort to allow the use of Triggers and Join Indexes on the same table. I have seen no references (not even at Partners this year) to this issue being resolved in 6.0 (someone please correct me if I am wrong.) My suggestion is that everyone effected by this limitation should submit an Enhancement Request to Teradata. The use of Enhancement Requests by Customers is still one of the best ways to get this sort of issue resolved in a timely manner. www.teradata.com/teradata- partners/what_is/pac/PACForm.cfm Thanks, Clay
